This was taken this morning off the waterside at Whitehaven in Cumbria. It was a damp grey cold morning, but I was glad to be out, and I thought the subject matter may lend itself well to black and white conversion in Nik Silverefex. You will be the judge of that. Thank you so much for viewing this work, it is appreciated indeed.

To everyone that favourites any of my work, please accept in advance my sincere thanks for doing so. For those that comment on this or any other photograph, you will always recieve a reply. Demands on my time may mean a delay on occassions in responding, but I will always reply. Thank you for visiting this page, the support of all visitors is truly appreciated. Simon

Impressive shot

I am curious as to why you chose f14 and not a higher Apeture?

This is not a criticism, but the lighthouse on the left doesn't seem as sharp
Was this a creative decision?

Just part of the learning process for me

Again glad to see that you made it home:clap:

Thank you for the comment. It was dull as dishwater, blowing a gale, and the rain coming down. Handheld shot, f14 was trial and error at higher iso etc, and you are correct the one tower is not as focussed. Thanks for the welcome home as well. I usually use tripod but unfortunately mine is in a shipping container on its way from new zealand to the UK!!
