Single photograph, then given the treatment in Nik HDR efex programme, using the single image setting, and a minor tweak in photoshop. HDR is not an area of knowledge I possess, I quite like the effect of this image though, and thought I would share it for your valuable feedback, which gives me a good indication of whether I am heading in the right direction.
Another shot from my first time of setting foot in the Wasdale Valley in over 5 1/2 years! This to me sums up why Dawn and I returned to the UK. Everyone i have met so far believes we are mad leaving New Zealand. Well this shotshows the start of a public footpath, admittedly in Wasdale!, but the point is you can walk, and walk and walk until you drop, more or less where you want when you want. this access to the land we missed so much hence, home again after 5 yrs or more away!
Sadly Dawn was not there to share the walk, but will be by the next time I visit.
This is shot looking up the valley from Wasdale Head end towards Great Gable, which you cannot miss, as you cannot see it!! its covered in cloud. The farm between the trees is National Trust property, a full working farm called "Burnthwaite Farm" which also has what looks from the outside a very inviting holiday cottage to rent.
Thank you so much for viewing this work, its not my best, I am really just sharing my excitement at being back in the valley I love!!
