Well today was the day for me, the first time of setting foot in the Wasdale Valley in over 5 1/2 years! Even after that time it has lost none of its allure and beauty for me. It was every bit as perfect as I remembered it. the only downsides were the weather, as the cloud was down covering the tops, and the wet and dampness that filled the air. But it was good to be back surrounded by those majestic mountains and watching the cloud, I say cloud as it was like one never ending big one all day long!
Sadly Dawn was not there to share the walk, but will be by the next time I visit.
This is shot looking up the valley from Wasdale Head towards Great Gable which is shrouded in cloud. the stonewalls in the area are so photogenic in themselves, with out even considering the mountains and lake as well!! It really is paradise, rain or shine, get yourselves there, you will not regret it, I promise.
Thank you so much for viewing this work, its not my best, I am really just sharing my excitement at being back in the valley I love!!
Once again a big thank you, this was a run round visit, wet, windy and cold, just camera, no tripod. thats on a container somewhere out at sea, due in at southampton at the end of the month!!
