This is a shot of the partial eclipse that occurred today, unfortunately for us in New Zealand, its partial, not full, but I was suprised how dark it actually went considering it was 10.20 am and its more or less summer time here now. i was watching the birds over a lake as it occurred and they even went on mass to roost and did not move for over half an hour!

To everyone that favourites any of my work, please accept in advance my sincere thanks for doing so. For those that comment on this or any other photograph, you will always recieve a reply. Demands on my time may mean a delay on occassions in responding, but I will always reply. Thank you for visiting this page, the support of all visitors is truly appreciated. Simon

It looks amazing especially with the atmospheric clouds surrounding it. It sounds quite strange to have witnessed the birds all going to a mass roost at that time of day but I guess that shows how in tune with the changes of daylight they are.
