An old one of Wastwater Lake in Cumbria England, looking down on the lake from Lingmell Fell, to the left are the famous wastwater screes. The lake is the deepest one in england, popular amongst the diving fraternity, who dive down in one area in particular to an underwater ledge and leave garden gnomes etc on it!! Sadly it has been fatal for some when accidents have occurred. The Lake provides the water cooling for the nucleur power station at Sellifield on the coast a few miles away.

thank you my friend, I agree about gloomy, on some days it was extremely gloomy almost hostile, yet even so it always held a beauty for me what ever the weather!
Thanks Jonathan, it never used to bore me, the lighting on the fells changed so much on any given day, you never got bored. Would be like that in the Welsh mountains though I would imagine?
