Winter Chill by Capturing-the-Light Winter Chill by Capturing-the-Light
Another shot of the Wasdale Valley, manipulated in photoshop to gain the effect shown. Experimentation one evening, not sure if it will be repeated!

Thank you Donna, and yes public footpaths abound, as does deep pest lake and highest mountain in England. It's part of the lake district national park.

wow why would you do that to an otherwise perfectly nice picture? I don't like the overdone contrast/clarity. no offense, but this is disgusting. I'd love to see the original/unedited version however. maybe for a more interesting perspective get the camera a little lower so that the scene stays the same but the bridge is a little lower than center height of the image.

Thank you for your comment, positive or not I am pleased when my work evokes a response. There's no offence taken at all, we're we all to like the same things the world would be exceedingly dull. As for the original, I will dig it out, in the mean time thanks for sharing your view.

good. I'm glad your not offended! I really do like the setting and composition of the photo. just not the colours :) but it is your photo and you're free to edit as you wish or feel it be best.

I like this HDRI treatment better than others of yours I've seen - the colours are more suited to it, I think, coming out less surreal than they sometimes do. I think it's a lovely example of the technique.
